About TRADLINX
Trusted by Samsung, LG Chem and 40,000 businesses across the world, TRADLINX is a global logistics SaaS company that provides visibility tools, such as container and vessel data, insights, reports and alerts, so you can know what is happening with the goods and vessels in your supply chain. TRADLINX has over 1.5 million users.
Beyond tracking, TRADLINX provides customers with visibility and coverage all around the world. The SaaS company leverages a network of people and partners to receive news updates quickly.
However, they still need to know as much as possible in terms of what’s happening across the world – any kind of accidents, disruptions, or any minor events that can cause delays or port congestion, for example.
Ajin Im, TRADLINX’s Communications Lead, explains the importance of having as much information as possible.
“Because of supply chain issues, we are always very keen on just getting news updates, or any signs of disruption. The maximum information is always really useful.”
How Visualping Helps Power Tradlinx's Logistics Software
In addition to their network, TRADLINX needed to maximize their coverage by monitoring additional websites, such as local news sites, Chinese websites, and port authority sites, in order to detect more specific updates to maximize their visibility.
These additional websites provide the earliest indication of the events and updates TRADLINX needs to know about.
“That’s how we found Visualping. We’ve used other services, but Visualping is, by far, the one we’re using the most.”
Previous Approaches
Before TRADLINX discovered Visualping, they were manually monitoring websites for updates. They would manually check news sites and social media, rely on their network of partners, and also use a chatapp for updates. The chatapp would be the first channel they would hear from.
In addition, TRADLINX temporarily used Google Alerts, but it wasn’t an effective solution in terms of having a streamlined channel of news updates, and effectively sharing the updates with stakeholders.
Visualping Benefits
Seamless Integration
What TRADLINX appreciated most about Visualping is how streamlined the change alerts are, and how the tool overall integrates seamlessly into their bigger workflow. Receiving the alerts in email, they’re easy to check.
“It’s also just easier on my mind. I don’t have to remind myself to manually check everything.”
Increased Visibility
Also, with Visualping monitoring the additional individual websites, they’re able to have more extensive coverage, rather than just relying on their network.
Custom Monitoring
They use the keyword alerts feature often, to only get notified of specific topics and keywords of interest. This helps reduce notifications that are less relevant to specific subject matter they care about.
User-Friendly UI
Ajin, personally, appreciates Visualping’s UI – how simple it is. And also scheduling, and adjusting the frequency.
“I don’t have to figure out how to use Visualping. It’s easy. We just wanted something that really works, and it’s effective. Because it’s part of our bigger workflow.”
“It’s very easy and there’s not much to figure out. Other than the fact that it works so well, and how easy it is to use – that’s what I like the most.”
Conclusion
Overall, Visualping improves TRADLINX’s workflow by streamlining the alerts in email. It also gives Ajin and her team some peace of mind, and more extensive coverage to offer more tracking, visibility and data to their users.
