Yes. Best Buy price matches 19 retailers, including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Costco and Apple, on identical new items that Best Buy sells itself. It also gives you the difference back if its own price drops while you can still return the item. That's 15 days for most shoppers, 60 days for My Best Buy Plus and Total members, and 14 days for phones and other activatable devices.

Which stores does Best Buy price match
Best Buy's list of Qualified Competitors has 19 retailers. The list has been in effect since May 11, 2025.

Every request has to pass three basic rules. The item has to be identical (same brand, model number and color), new, and available right now. The competitor has to be selling and shipping it itself, so a third-party seller on Amazon or Walmart.com doesn't count. And the price has to be open to everyone: Best Buy won't match member-only or loyalty pricing.
Warehouse clubs are the exception. Best Buy matches Costco, Sam's Club and BJ's prices, and its membership exclusion is written for non-warehouse memberships and paid loyalty programs. A Prime-exclusive deal on Amazon is a paid-membership price, so it doesn't count. If a warehouse club's website hides the price behind a login, Best Buy matches it in store only, and you have to show the live offer on your phone.
Best Buy also matches its own prices across channels. If the app or BestBuy.com shows a lower price than the shelf tag, the store will match it, and the reverse works for online orders. Shipping and delivery charges aren't part of the comparison.
Get a Best Buy price adjustment within 14 to 60 days
A price adjustment is Best Buy matching its own lower price after you've bought something. You can ask for one any time during your return period, and the return period starts the day you receive the product, which for a shipped order is later than the day you paid.

Best Buy's price match FAQ says you can price match more than once in that window, as long as every other rule is met. If a TV drops $50 on day 3 and another $30 on day 11, both drops are worth a request. A price alert on the product page catches the second drop without you checking every day.
The lower price has to be live when you ask, so a sale that ended yesterday doesn't help. And for orders you've already received, your Order Details page shows whether a price match is available. Click the "See details" link before you open a chat.
What Best Buy will not match
Best Buy's Price Match Guarantee has a long list of exclusions. Grouped by category:

Best Buy price match on Black Friday 2026
The holiday rule pauses competitor matching for items "for sale the Thursday before Thanksgiving Day through the Monday after Thanksgiving." In 2026 that's Thursday, Nov 19 through Monday, Nov 30 (Thanksgiving is Nov 26, Black Friday Nov 27).
Best Buy's promise to match its own lower price during your return period sits in a separate part of the policy, and its Holiday FAQ says that guarantee stays in effect throughout the holiday season. So a Best Buy price drop that week can still qualify, as long as the deal isn't on the excluded list. Watch for deals advertised as limited quantity, which Best Buy excludes whether it or a competitor runs them.
Timing works in your favor if you shop early. Anything delivered on or after Nov 13 is still inside the standard 15-day window on Black Friday, and members' 60-day window covers deliveries from late September. As of Oct 22, 2026, Best Buy hadn't posted a holiday return extension for 2026. The Holiday FAQ still shows last year's terms, which gave purchases made Oct 31 through Dec 31, 2025 a return period through Jan 15, 2026 (activatable devices and holiday decorations excluded). Check the Return & Exchange Policy again in November before you count on extra time. How to request a Best Buy price match
- Check eligibility first. Confirm the item is identical, new and in stock at the lower price, and that the seller is the retailer itself. For a received order, the "See details" link on Order Details shows whether a match is available.
- Have the lower price ready. Best Buy asks for the competitor's current ad or website address and checks the price and availability itself, so keep the product page open on your phone.
- For BestBuy.com, app and Store Pickup orders, use Best Buy's online chat or call 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289). Best Buy's price match FAQ says these requests can't be completed in a store or by email. Chat requests have to come from the purchaser, and an after-purchase request on a shipped order has to come from the person named in the "Bill To" section.
- For in-store purchases, go to the customer service desk with your receipt.
- Ask while the lower price is live. Best Buy verifies the price when it reviews your request.
Track the price during your return window
The policy is generous, but it only pays out if you notice the drop while it's live and while you're still inside your window. Doing that by hand means checking the product page every day for 15 days, or 60 if you're a member.
